Wahai anakku,

Janganlah kamu bersedih di atas kekalahan ini, kerana ia adalah keringanan bebananmu di akhirat. Kekalahan sementara di dunia banyak air mata yang tumpah, banyak hati yang bersedih dan banyak jiwa yang menderita, namun semua ringihan, air mata dan kesedihan ada nilaiannya di akhirat seandainya kamu redha dengan ketentuanNya.

Wahai anakku,
Ingatlah akan firman Allah di dalam hadis Qudsi, mafhumnya " Sesiapa yang tidak redha dengan ketentuanku, dan tidak sabar di atas ujianku dan tidak bersyukur di atas nikmatKu, maka carilah Tuhan yang lain dariKu". Kerana itu wahai anakku, kita tidak punyai Tuhan yang lain selain Allah. Dia yang menentu kebaikan bagimu. Janganlah kerana sedikitnya ilmu yang ada pada kita, menyebabkan kita berdukacita di atas keputusan ini.

Wahai anakku,
Tidak salah kamu menangisi, bersedih dan kecewa kerana itu adalah fitrah manusia. Namun janganlah perasaan itu merosakkan hatimu sehingga syaitan berjaya merosakkan jiwamu. Ucaplah " telah ditaqdirkan oleh Allah, apa-apa yang dikehendakiNya, dan kami redha dengan ketentuan!u wahai Allah".

Alangkah hebatnya perjuangan ini, bilamana kita berhadapan dengannya secara langsung. Banyak pengorbanan yang kita lakukan, apa yang diharap agar Allah menerima pengorbanan tersebut. Wahai anakku,

Kejayaan sebenar kita bilamana Allah menerima segala pengorbanan masa, tenaga dan wang ringgit kita sehingga ia menjadi tebusan diri kita di hadapan Allah di akhirat.

Wahai anakku,
Perjalanan masih jauh, perjuangan masih panjang yang memerlukan tenagamu. Ambillah sedikit masa untuk rehat seketika, lalu bangunlah dengan penuh ketabahan bagi meneruskan perjuangan ini. Kamu tidak perlu menyalahkan diri di atas keputusan yang kamu tidak sukai, kerana itu helah syaitan untuk merosakkan jiwamu. Jangan kamu salahkan dirimu atau orang lain, kerana kita hanya pelaksana apa yang Allah perintahkan. Ingatlah firman Allah " bukanlah kewajipan kamu (ya Muhamad S.A.W ) memberi hidayah kepada manusia, Allahlah yang memberi hidayah kepada sesiapa yang Dia kehendaki".

Wahai anakku,
Teruskan kerja Islam ini sehingga Allah beri kemenangan sebenar dihadapanNya nanti atau kamu mengadapnya dalam keadaan kamu masih istiqamah di atas jalanNya.

Ya Allah, ampunilah dosaku dan dosa semua petugas yang telah bertungkus lumus berjuang bagi memenangkan perjuangan ini. Ya Allah, andainya ada sedikit belas kasihanmu pada kami, maaflah kesilapan kami, ampunilah dosa mereka yang membenci kami, dan. berilah petunjukmu kepada mereka dan kepada kami.

It hurts, probably.

But that is not the point.

The real deal is what will happen for the next moment.

Life is just a lot like a wheel.

-forgiveness-

Tonight's #storytime story is called,

'Forgiveness in Ramadan'.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

Musa, the son of Imran once asked,

“Oh my Lord!

Who is the most honorable of Your servants?

And He replied,

the person who forgives even when he is in a position of power” (Baihaqi).

You know you’re right.

You know what I’m referring

to those times when you get into an argument(s)

with a family member,

friend,

boss,

employee,

coworker,

classmate,

teacher or whoever.

You know your facts are right

or that you’ve been wronged with an insulting remark,

sarcastic comment or rudeness.

And so,

you choose to hold a grudge.

After all,

you’ve got a right to.

Nobody should be treated this way.

Why should you forgive?

You’re not the one who started this.

You’re not the one who doesn't have the facts straight.

True.

You may be right.

You may be in that position of power mentioned in the Hadith above.

But forgiving others,

apart from positively affecting our health (less stress)

and our minds (one less negative thing to focus on),

is a necessary step to closeness to Allah SWT.

How can we move up the ladder of spiritual development

when we hold bitterness and anger towards another person?

While we may have been in the right,

is it worth sacrificing our energy on a grudge instead of on growth?

Is there not something strange

about asking for Allah’s forgiveness of our sins

while withholding our forgiveness from others who hurt us?

One of the distinguishing features of Ramadan is forgiveness.

The Prophet ﷺ explained in one Hadith

that Ramadan is a month whose beginning is Mercy,

whose middle is Forgiveness and whose end is freedom from the Hellfire.

This makes it a great time to ask Allah SWT for His Forgiveness.

It’s also a wonderful time to open our hearts

and cleanse them of grudges and bitterness by forgiving others.

The path to connection to Allah SWT is always paved with tests and difficulties.

Nobody gains spiritual upliftment without having to prove their mettle.

This process includes facing all kinds of hardships,

including injustice at the hands of others.

If we truly want Allah’s love, mercy and forgiveness,

we must remember that the hurts of that the hurts of this world are temporary,

and we are working towards that which is permanent.

Is it worth being bitter and stunting our growth?

Will it really benefit us?

How will our anger and bitterness change the person who has hurt us?

Let us use these days of Ramadan to open our hearts

to those who have wronged us & forgive them as we beg Allah to forgive us.

Ameen.

Dan itu sentiasa buat air mata saya membasahi pipi.
